There are 9 new Coronavirus infection cases in South Korea as of Friday. From 9 new cases, 8 Coronavirus infections are imported cases and 1 case is confirmed as a local case.
According to Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the total number of 10,774 infection cases are confirmed in South Korea as of Friday. 13 more people are fully recovered and released from isolation from the previous day, bringing the total number of 9,072 people who are fully recovered on Friday. There are 9 new patients confirmed as Coronavirus infections and the number of people who are in isolation are 1,454.
From 9 new cases, 8 cases are imported cases that 4 infection cases are confirmed directly through the airport quarantine screening procedures, 1 case is confirmed as imported case later in Seoul and Incheon, respectively and 2 cases are also confirmed as imported case which are confirmed in Gyeonggi province.
The death toll stood at 248 as 1 more person died from the previous day.
By region, the total number of Coronavirus infection cases are 6,852 in Daegu, 1,366 in North Gyeongsang province, 678 in Gyeonggi province and 634 in Seoul. Additionally, 143 Coronavirus cases in total are confirmed in North Chungcheong province, 137 cases in Busan, 117 cases in South Gyeongsang province, 94 cases in Incheon, 53 infections in Gangwon, 46 infections in Sejong, 45 infections in North Chungcheong province, 40 cases in Daejeon, 30 cases in Gwangju, 18 confirmed in North Jeolla province, 15 cases in South Jeolla province and 13 cases in Jeju.
By gender, there are more female patients confirmed as Coronavirus infection cases than male patients as 6,418 female patients are confirmed compared to the number of 4,356 male patients confirmed. Female patients account for 59.57 percent of the total cases.
By age, people in their age of 20s are mostly confirmed with the total number of 2,957, accounting for 27.45 percent and followed by the people in their age of 50s with the total number of 1,956 (18.15 percent), people in their age of 40s with the total number of 1,429 (13.26 percent) and 60s with the total number of 1,348 (12.51 percent).
So far, 623,069 people are tested for Coronavirus and 603,610 people are confirmed as negative.
